Ripoon Q100 & Q101 – Frequently Asked Questions

Q100 is a rear-facing camera light with a 100-lumen COB LED panel and a proprietary seatpost mounting bracket. 
Q101 is a front-facing camera light with a powerful 400–600 lumen Cree LED and includes a GoPro-style bracket compatible with under-bar out-front mounts. 
Both models record in Full HD 1080p at 60 fps, offer a wide 142° field of view, and are IPX7 waterproof rated. 

Smart Light Mode dynamically adjusts between constant lighting profiles based on the ambient brightness. It doesn’t lower brightness but chooses the most suitable mode automatically.

No. The cameras do not use a mobile app. All settings and footage access are done via USB connection or SD card reader.

You can access video files by connecting the device to a computer via USB-C cable or by removing the SD card and using a card reader. 

Video is recorded continuously in loops of 1–5 minutes (depending on your setting). Older footage is automatically overwritten unless it’s secured via SOS trigger.

When used with an SD card for the first time, the camera auto-generates a setting.txt file. 
Connect the device to a PC, open the file, and enter the correct date/time in this format: 
YYYYMMDDHHMMSS 
Save the file and eject the device safely. 
The camera will now show accurate timestamps in videos. 
This is a one-time setup and only needs to be repeated if the battery is fully discharged for an extended period.
